Linda Rise

Linda Rise

For 15 years, Linda Rise was the manager of the Chequamgeon Food Coop. So when she made a major career change to real estate, she wanted to let friends, family, colleagues and potential clients know. Linda wanted to send out a post card that people would notice.

At our initial meeting Linda told me she wanted something that people will laugh at and maybe stick on their fridge for a while instead of tossing it straight into the recycling. Her second goal was to find a way to let people know that she is the same friendly, easy-going, straightforward Linda, despite the fact that she is now a full-time real estate agent. And finally, she wanted to invite people to contact her with any real estate needs.

Linda liked the idea of doing a card that was a spoof on POP artist Roy Lichtenstein. I used Linda's real estate business card headshot and gave her two new looks that people would be sure to notice – and laugh at. Because Linda only needed about 300 cards, the most economical way to print them was using a digital color copier. The back of the post card, done in one color to keep cost down, features a photo of the actual Linda and all her contact information.
